Course Content

Learn how to

  • Develop a core competency of the principles of Asset Management

  • Learn the building blocks of Asset Management from the ground up, and how it can be practically deployed in real-life situations

  • Use legacy device and maintenance data can be integrated into a modern digital asset management framework

  • Utilise EAM/CMMS data to analyse fault conditions and make maintenance changes and/or asset investment decisions

  • Use configuration/data presenting tools within an EAM/CMMS to eliminate recurring asset issues, leveraging data analytics and automated workflows for continuous improvement

 

Understand how

  • To deploy the practical principles of Asset Management

  • To utilise data and other sources to make whole-life asset decisions and investments

  • To utilise an industry recognised EAM/CMMS to digitalise the management of an asset base

 

Know how to

  • Describe what is Asset Management and its essential component parts

  • Develop an Asset Plan for an example asset

  • Produce solutions to promote fault reduction and improve asset life management

 

Asset Management is coordinated activity of an organisation to manage its assets whilst taking account of costs, risks, and system performance and how they align to company objectives.

It is an entire asset lifecycle approach to the management of the entire asset base — from planning & acquisition through operation, maintenance, and disposal — to optimise whole-life value and align asset performance with organisational goals.

 

Asset Management Digitalisation involves utilising digital tools and continuous data flows to control, monitor, and optimise assets throughout their lifecycle. Such key technologies include asset condition sensors, real-time analytics platforms, decision making tools, cloud-based EAM/CMMS (Enterprise Asset Management/ Computerised Maintenance Management System) integration, and predictive maintenance systems.

                                                       

The course is 50% theory and 50% interactive using practical based exercises and is delivered over 2 days, delivered over two evenings online and one day onsite.

  • Introduction to Asset Management

  • Asset Management Principles & Frameworks

  • Asset Management Policy and Strategy

  • Asset Hierarchies, Work Order Workflows, Scheduling Parameters, Fault Analysis Tracking

  • Lifecycle Asset Management

  • Tools, Implementation & Practical Application

  • Risk Management in Asset Management

  • Implementing an Asset Management System

 

The course provides a hands-on approach to the digitalisation of Asset Management fundamentals using tailored practical exercises based on real-life industry scenarios. These real-life scenarios can be tailored to mimic the learner’s area of employment.

Due to Skills to Advance (STA) funding, this course is only available to those in employment. ​

This course is delivered over 2 online evening sessions and 1 full day in CELTEC. ​​
